City not willing to sell Silva amid PSG and Barca interest

The City are not willing to cash in on Bernardo Silva and do not want any club to make an offer for him.

Barcelona

and

Paris Saint-Germain

are keen on acquiring

Manchester City

’s

Bernardo Silva

. As per reports from The Times on Thursday, PSG have made a bid of about £60m for the 28-year-old.

Any proposal would have been bigger, however, to get Manchester City to consider it.

Neither Silva nor his representatives are keen on a departure this summer. City would need to find a replacement as there are only two weeks left on the transfer window.

The Portugal international has begun the opening games of City on the bench this season so far.

Pep Guardiola said that he would like Silva to remain put but he would not stand in his way should he opt for a departure.

"What happens will happen,"

he said.

"And, if he stays, it is perfect.

"In the end, if he has to leave, it is because football is like this; the player has a desire. I will not be a person to stop someone's desire.

"When you are a player, it is so short; you don't realise and it's nearly over.

"The player will have to talk to the club and I have never ever been involved in that."

City are not likely to pursue another left-back before the end of the window as they have penned Anderlecht’s Sergio Gomez.

The City boss said last week that he wants the Spaniard to be their last signing of the summer.
