Luke Shaw agrees new Manchester United contract

Luke Shaw has reportedly agreed to a new deal that will keep him at Manchester United until 2027.

According to the English press, Manchester United has agreed to a new long-term deal with Luke Shaw. Shaw's contract was due to expire at the end of the season, but the club triggered a 12-month extension in his deal in December. Now, Shaw is set to sign a new four-year contract after impressing under Erik ten Hag this season.

The 27-year-old Shaw joined Manchester United from Southampton for £27million in 2014. He has scored four goals in 248 matches for his club. The English defender has won three trophies, including the Europa League in 2017 and EFL Cup this season. He already has played in 35 matches this season and has been one of Ten Hag's key players.

David De Gea's contract is set to end this summer, and he reportedly rejected their first contract extension offer, but Sky Sports reports that Manchester United expects a positive outcome in regard to De Gea’s future. The club is also in discussions over renewals for Marcus Rashford and Diogo Dalot.
