Haaland left out of squad for Manchester City's clash against Liverpool

Erling Haaland has been left out of Manchester City squad for the game against Liverpool on Saturday.

Manchester City will face Liverpool in the Premier League at the Etihad stadium. Manchester City is eight points behind leaders Arsenal, but they have a game in hand. Man City is in second place with 61 points after 27 matches. Arsenal will host Leeds United later on Saturday.

Erling Haaland misses this Premier League match due to a groin injury. Haaland pulled out of Norway's squad after picking up a groin problem and missed their opening two Euro 2024 qualifiers. On Friday, Man City manager Pep Guardiola said they will decide about Haaland after their final training session.

Ederson, Stones, Akanji, Dias, Ake, Rodrigo, Gundogan (C), De Bruyne, Mahrez, Grealish, Alvarez

Haaland has scored 42 goals in just 37 appearances during his first season in English football. He has scored eight goals in his past two appearances for Man City.

Phil Foden also is out of action for around two or three weeks after recently having appendicitis surgery.
