Al Ain and Al Hilal Epic: Journey to the Final

Al Ain qualifies for the final after exciting challenges and goals in the face-off against Al Hilal Saudi

The Emirati team Al Ain qualified for the final match of the Asian Champions League, despite its loss to Al Hilal Saudi team with a score of (2-1), in the match that was held on the pitch of the Kingdom Arena, on Tuesday evening. This match took place in the second leg of the semi-final after the first leg match, which was held at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium last week, ended with Al Ain's victory with a score of (4-2), which made Al Ain qualify with a total of (5-4) in the two matches.

 

The goals of today's match were scored by Ruben Neves in the 4th minute and Salem Al Dawsari (51) in favor of Al Hilal, while Erik Jorgensen scored Al Ain's only goal in the 12th minute.

 

Al Ain is expected to face in the final match the winner of the match between Yokohama F. Marinos of Japan and Ulsan Hyundai of South Korea.

 

The match started with intense offensive pressure from Al Hilal players, and Michel Delgado succeeded in getting a penalty in the fourth minute after being obstructed by Kwame, and after checking the video technology, the referee confirmed the validity of the penalty and Neves successfully scored the goal.

 

Al Ain responded quickly and realized the draw in the 12th minute through Jorgensen after a precise pass from his colleague Yahya Nader. The 25th minute witnessed a dangerous opportunity for Al Hilal after a cross from the left side, Al Ain's defender Brahman tried to block it but it hit the post.

 

There was a quick reaction from Al Ain in the 36th minute with a shot from Rahimi but it passed next to the post. In the 42nd minute, a penalty was awarded to Al Ain after Rahimi was obstructed by Hassan Tambakti but it was canceled after checking the video technology.

 

Al Dawsari wasted a chance for Al Hilal in the 46th minute with a shot over the goal after a through pass. The second half witnessed the continuation of the offensive pressure from Al Hilal players, and the second goal was scored in the 51st minute by Al Dawsari. In the 59th minute, Al Hilal wasted another scoring opportunity after Delgado was alone with Al Ain's goalkeeper and blocked his shot.

 

In the 63rd minute, we witnessed another dangerous attack from Al Hilal but Al Ain's defense cleared the ball. Al Ain scored a goal in the 72nd minute but it was canceled due to offside.

 

The referee canceled another goal for Al Ain after checking the video technology due to a foul on Rahimi. The last minutes witnessed an intensive attack from Al Hilal, and Mohamed Keno wasted a chance to score a goal from inside the penalty area.
