Settlement of financial dues for coach Nuno Santo with Al-Ittihad Club

How Al-Ittihad Club management closed the page of financial dues for the Portuguese coach Nuno Santo, after his departure from the team and his achievement of local championship titles

The board of directors of Al-Ittihad Club managed to end all financial obligations due to the former coach, Portuguese Nuno Santos, who was the technical director of Nottingham Forest English club.

The Saudi “Al-Riyadiyah” newspaper clarified that Al-Ittihad administration has closed the file of the remaining financial dues for Santo, which included salaries for a period of eight months.

According to the newspaper, an amount estimated at about 4 million euros remained for Santo when he was dismissed from coaching Al-Ittihad on the seventh of last November. The administration was able to pay this amount to him in stages, according to a legal agreement signed by both parties.

The newspaper confirmed that Nuno Santos received the final settlement that confirms his receipt of all his rights resulting from his training period with the Saudi club.

It is worth noting that the Portuguese coach had assumed responsibility for coaching Al-Ittihad team in the summer of 2022, and remained in his position for an approximate period of 16 months, during which he managed to win the Professional League title and the Saudi Super Cup, before he was dismissed due to the decline in results in the second season.

While Santo was in charge, Al-Ittihad team was in the sixth place in the Roshn League standings, and Argentine coach Marcelo Gallardo was appointed to take over the current coach’s duties as his successor.
